I have a mac and my friends have pcs. Yahoo messenger tells me my friends are offline whenever I try to view their webcams. It seems to occasionally allow me to view them, but there's often a big struggle. It doesn't seem to matter if I request or they send me invites. Is there a different messenger that allows for a less adruous interaction? I know that yahoo is planning an update for their mac messenger someday but I'm curious to see if there's something else I can do. Thanks!

Yahoo! just launched Yahoo! Messenger for Mac 3.0 Beta 1. This has a new look and feel for OS X (version 10.3.9 or later). The new features include Avatars, sounds, and display images. This version also offers the ability to use webcam, transfer files to other Yahoo! Messenger users, and you can still express your feelings with emoticons. To download, just go to http://messenger.yahoo.com/mac.php and click the ‘Get it Now’ button.
