Is there a way I can scan a document and then change it? I don't want to have to type out the whole thing.

I have original photos,some that date to late 1800's. If I scan the photos will it do any damage to the original - and how many times scanned is safe? I'm doing genealogy and I want to share my information.

My 82year old dad is coping very well with his new pc on the whole but has just lost a 19 page document on it that we CANNOT find! He has probably made mistakes saving it.
We do have an earlier printed unrevised copy so I am wondering if it is possible to scan it back onto the pc and then do the revisions/additions again onto the new document? Any advice as to how to go about this will be gratefully received.The pc has WindowsXP if that makes any difference.

I hv installed the Canon CanoScanLiDE 25 using the disc provided. But the scanner not working. Checked cable & USB connection. A message mentioned about "twain source". Please help. Thank you.

I have just recently purchased a HP Scanjet 4370 photo scanner with 3600 * 7200 DPI capacity. I also have a HP Deskjet 5420 photo printer that prints out at 4800 * 1200 DPI. My question is: If I want to scan either a smaller than wallett size photo or scan a 4 by 6 photo to a 8 by 10 size duplication, what is the recumended DPI setting that I should increase to? Right now I have scanned a smaller than wallett size photo at 2400 DPI into a 8 by 10, and it came out alittle below fare. I have scanned a 4 by 6 photo in 1200 DPI into a 8 by 10 and it came out beautiful. I am using Kodak Photo Gloss paper @ 6 mil. OK, whell I need some assistance in this subject. Thanks.

When I try to burn a cd it says to put a disk in the drive when I do it doesn't reconize it is in there. You can hear it trying to run and then a screen comes up telling me to insert a disc in the drive. tHANKS

I just bought a casio ex-z70, and I bought it with no charger and no usb cable plug. It took me about a week to finally find a casio charger. and now i cant find a usb cable plug. Instead I found a memory card reader, but i was wondering what it was and if it worked like a usb plug. Will it transfer all my pic. to my computer?

It would appear that from all the answers reeived that I`ve deleted the System Restore facility by using ccleaner. Is there anyway this can be recovered. Give me any bad news gently, Its my daughters Comp. Thanx
