Please could anyone tell me if i can photostat a document using my scanner. I have tried, and when it comes down to printing, the printout is all in a pinkish colour, other than that it's perfect. The trouble is the colour of the copy doesn't look original.
All the ink levels are ok and i have used the printers trouble shooter
and everything seems ok. I am now thinking it may not be possible to get a copy of a document using this proceedure, but i'm not sure. Please can anyone help with this.

I want to organize different photos in a way to create a single picture that I can then work from to do a painting. The process I went through to try to chat with HP was just too much of a project that had me pulling what remaining hair I had left, out of my scalp.

(i.e.) scan a job application, seeing it on your monitor then being able to fill it out. then able to print it out with all of the editing intact. any suggestions or help greatly appreciated.

I see that there are different dpi resolutions like 600 x1200 or 1200 x 2400 etc... What exactly do these numbers mean and is there a big difference between the two. Is the 1200 x 2400 much better than the 600 x 1200 or does it not matter that much? thanks

I have a life times worth of family photographs, picture slides, negatives, video camera recorded tapes, and video tapes!!!!

All to be transferred onto CD or DVDs

Any advice would be gratefully received!

I am planning to go out and buy a new lap top, and need to get everything else to go with it. So if you were setting up for the first time what would you recommend????

So many of the so called free software will identify the cause of the problems, in my case, 400, but must collect $37.00 to get rid of them. Is this on the level? I just want a good "free" software that will get rid of these. I don't want to erase my photos, but I don't care about anything else. When the scan asks if you want to get rid of items, how do I know I am not just erasing photos, and how do I know it is telling me the truth?

I want to scan a letter to my computer. What I want is the letterhead, and be able to delete the text, type another letter and print it out with the letterhead on the new document. Can this be done? The scanner software gives me a choice of .bmp, .jpg, .tif, .pdf. If I can upload to my PC, what do I open it with?
