after the avg anti spyware trail is finsh can u still use like scan and update it?

Yes you can. You will have to maunally update and run the program.

I don't know, I haven't had to try. When it said the trial period was expiring I went to their website and downloaded a new version.

Not certain, but it is better to have the free edition than worry about any trial period.
