Monitors

I just formatted and reinstalled windows on my hard drive, ive gone through the windows help centre but none of it works.
Anyone know what to do? Any one ever have similiar problems?

I have dell "ultrascan p990" 19-inch (almost flat) monitor.it shows horizontal scanlines which very disturbing to me and i dont know how to fix the problem.plz. help me on this.

The curser seems to have a mind of it's own and is difficult to control, especially when there is accuracy needed.

Is there a way to fix it so everything shows as bright/dark as intended or is it because my monitor is old?

my monitor suddenly turned off and would not come back on until i restarted the p.c
this only started when i downloaded the game"sonic riders",and upon installtion the monitor turned off for the first time,it then repeated this 3 times over the next 24hrs
i can only put it down to the game,as everything was fine until this installation
was this a virus or something similar,however i did a full virus scan with a.v.g and it was clear,so were anti-spy scans
all hardware is working fine,so any suggestions would be appreciated
having worked on p.c,s for the last 5 years this is a new one to me
mt monitor is a hewlett packard 19" t.f.t monitor

Thank you to all those people who have answered my question, I have been into the control panel and checked my resolution and it is set to 1024*768?

But the websites I go on still have really big writting?

Help.... I dont like it! I want the font to be small again!

It has happened to me before and I fixed it clicking on the mouse and scrolling up and down???

Any ideas guys?

I clicked a button on a mouse the other day and now my screen icon and site I go on are realllllllllly big!

Hi,
Im using my Dell Widescreen 24" Computer Monitor as a tv. I have a DVD Player and am running the composite from dvd right to the Monitor. The problem i have is that if the format is 4:3 it doesnt display in 4:3 and is off in the ratio. This cuts off some of the video and reuines it for me. It also does this to a certain extent in Widescreen DVD's too. So if anyone can help greatly appreciated.

i left with my dad to go buy some stuff, leaving the computer on. my stepmom must've turned it off while i was gone. when i turned it back on, my screen had a shade of green covering it. it's not that bright anymore. i tried setting the brightness and contrass settings, but it didn't help. is my screen broken?

Hello , I've got a problem I wanr to buy an LCD 17" a good one but not to expensive. A friend of mine advise me to buy LG L1752S-SF is it any good?

He also told me about Samsumg SM 713BM But i'e heard that samsung lcds are prone to Dead pixels and such alike.

I also heard that LG alows a person to change his lcd if there are more that 3 dead pixels within a month .Samsung is not that friendly i was told.

What do you think about that? What is better to buy?

A long time ago, I saved a picture as background. But that picture I can't see it in my background, I can ONLY see that picture when I'm turning on the computer or turning off the computer.

How to get this picture off? I tried everything with properties and that picture won't go away. (It's aishwarya picture)
