wot is the best resolution for a 15.4" widescreen display

For each LCD monitor, there is a suggested resolution by the Mfr.

If your video card supports it, use that resolution. You'll get the best appearance.

Also, make sure you set the screen refresh correctly (usually 60)! If set wrong it can really mess up the apperance.

Either 1440 x 900 or 1680 x 1050.

That's really a personal preference. But I usually max out the resolution, as I prefer to see more on the screen.

depends on your moniter (quality, not size) and video card.
find out by right clicking Desktop>propeties, going to the settings tab, and putting the "screen resolution" slider all the way to the right.
