You need a KVM switch, they allow you to use one keyboard, mouse and monitor for 2 - 8 computers, depending on the size of the one you get. They are easy to use and setup.

as mentioned by previous answer, A *switcher box*...
Simply you plug in your Keyboard/Mouse/Monitor and out the back is a dual of each.... So set one goto PC One, set two goto PC Two...
It depends on your need, The other method is a network connection *LAN* using such methods as *Remote Desktop* which means from PC one... Your main pc with the Monitor... U connect over the network and then can control PC2 *secondary use* via PC1 *primary use*... this way you can do other things with a little more ease... But once again comes down to your need and requirements...
Networking you can simply use a crossover cable or a two cables and a hub. There are USB network cables and other methods to network two PC's.... The crossover cable should cost bout $10 AUD

If your monitor has both a DVI and VGA connector, the easiest way is to connect one computer to the VGA connector and the other to the DVI. Then you can switch between the two of them with the input switch button on the monitor. If you only have one connector on the monitor, or if you also need to use one keyboard and mouse, you'll need a KVM switch. They can range in price from about $20 to over $100. You can find an example of a pretty cheap one that uses PS2 and VGA connectors at http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=628093&CatId=597 while one with USB support is more expensive at http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=385016&CatId=597

It's not possible, sorry.
You can If your monitor has 2 inputs, eg. say 1 digital(DVI) and 1 analog(VGA) and also has a picture in picture option or some option to split the screen.
But you can connect 2 monitors to 1 computer if you want :P

A KVM swap will probable permit you boot whether you at the instant are not at present switched to that gadget. yet another decision without determining to purchase an entire KVM swap is to get a style of USB to PS2 adapters that permit you hook up a playstation /2 mouse and keyboard to a USB port. it is going to tell the BIOS that a USB mouse and keyboard are there even while they at the instant are not. then you definately can use the networking techniques indexed above for connecting the computers and use Terminal Server to get right of entry to your different workstation's laptop (mstsc.exe) from the hot field, assuming the two are utilising XP professional or Vista. then you definately can cover the previous field interior the storage next to the cat clutter, and hook up with it with a wifi card. :) --N.

you need what's called a KVM switch. go to bestbuy.com and search for it. You can get a pretty decent one for around 50-70 bucks. You will be able to use 1 monitor, 1 keyboard, and 1 mouse for 2 CPUs. good luck!

It IS possible, and easy.
A "KVM" switch will switch your Keyboard, Video (monitor), and Mouse from controlling one computer to another.
