Well like in the past 2 weeks some color lines have been showing up on my Dell Laptop Computer..and Im not sure what it is...I mean..The screen is a little loose but i dont know if thats the problem or not so..Like does anyone know if theres something I can do...because i mean its not nourmal to have blue -n- red and light red random lines on the screen...Is there a way I can fix this....If so may someone PLEASE tell me how i would reeeaaalllyy appreciate it! Thank you :)

im trying to configure a computer, and need some RAM
I was looking on a forum and they gave me a link to a site that sell the ram i need...
KINGSTON VALUE RAM KVR667D2N5/1G 1GB (1024MB) PC25300 667MHZ CL5 240-PIN DDR2 DIMM

but I want to buy everything off of newegg, and newegg doesnt have that particular kind of ram. I want 2 X1024MB ram.
what I need to know is what kind of ram will be compatible with...

My lcd screen had quite a few cracks in it so I ordered a replacement on ebay (checked the part number and everything). After installing the new lcd screen, I tried to turn my laptop on but it just kept restarting itself every 5 seconds. The screen doesn't even light up or anything. I reconnected my old lcd screen and my laptop functioned normally. So what could be wrong with the new lcd?

The photo in my laptop are good color and bright and the photo after copy from costo are not the same and look more darker than my laptop and not good.Is there any advice?

I have a Dell laptop, Inspiron 5100 and when I insert a movie I get an error stating DVD decoder not installed?? This is a DVD drive. Could this a driver issue? If so, I have been unable to find a link on the Dell website to update my dll's. Or, could this be the DVD drive?

Is there a software equalent to IBM's ThinkVantage Active Protection that can be used on other laptops? Basically to protect laptop hard drive from damage in the event of a physical crash of the hard-drive. For example, when you drop your laptop on the flloor, the hard disk shuts down before it hits the ground and essentially saves data.

I wannted to connect to the internet thruogh telephone line, but wrongly I connect the cable to the electronic wire, now the modem does not work. So I wanna Buy a new one, and I was wondering that wht kind of modem Toshiba Satellite® M115-S3094 does use? and how much doese is cost? If there is any way to repair it please tell me. thanks.

My friend and I took the back panel off of his laptop to see how much memory he had, and the memory stick says "512 MB" right on it. However, when the system boots, it only says 384MB. What's the problem here? Is the memory bad?

Please, only answer if you are sure of what you're saying.

I had a macbook but I think I broke it.. so I'm looking for a new laptop.. I just want something for everyday use.. nothing too fancy but I don't want it to crash on me either. I am looking to stay under $800 but if I HAVE to I'd spend $1000. I just want something relatively cheap that will last me. I heard that HP and compaqs or w/e arn't so great and I haven't had the best of luck with dell desktops, but I'm willing to try. I also heard of lenovo(sp?).. I don't know too much about it but there's a sale on their website. what are your opinions?

I have a Toshiba M105-S3074 laptop, with a realtek soundcard in it. I doesn't transmitt sound the right way, it only plays over the microphone, I want it to go over the soundcard, so it's more clear to the people hearing it. How do I go about this, is this a setting that needs to be adjusted on the laptop, or will an external soundcard resolve the issue? I know the soundcard is hd capable, but it shows no stereo mixer. Someone help me.

I have an older (probably 10 years old) Toshiba that has had this problem on and off. It starts and is SUPER dark, you can see it but you have to squint and have REALY good lighting. I havn't used this laptop for probably a year, but do not want to get it repaired or get a new one. is there anything else i can do? and i have tried brightining the screen.
