I have an HP notebook and want to change my battery from a 6cell to a 12cell, do I just put in the 12 cell?

6 cell is 10.8 volts whereas a 12 cell is 14.8 volts. My best guess is it will fry your computer.

12 cells are just paired and the same voltage as 6 just twice the amp hr and if its made for your laptop it will give you twice the run time

don't do it stick with what the computer came with
