I have a Toshiba M105-S3074 laptop, with a realtek soundcard in it. I doesn't transmitt sound the right way, it only plays over the microphone, I want it to go over the soundcard, so it's more clear to the people hearing it. How do I go about this, is this a setting that needs to be adjusted on the laptop, or will an external soundcard resolve the issue? I know the soundcard is hd capable, but it shows no stereo mixer. Someone help me.

thanks

Jurgen

What exactly are you trying to do? I'm unsure when you say it only plays over the microphone. Do you mean you can only hear the mic's signal through the speakers? You may want to ensure that the Windows Sound Mixer settings are adjusted correctly. You could add an external soundcard or sound device to improve the quality of the preamp. However, if your laptop supports 24bit audio, it should be suffice for VOIP or a simple microphone for chatting, etc. Please give some more detail as to what you're actually doing.
