keep in mind I'm a college student and I need something that is afforable also I heard a Mac is better b/c it doesn't get many virus. I dont know about that b/c I never use a Mac and usually my desktop runs slow ne ways. thx in advanced :p

I'm using a dell inspiron,lately its been giving me heaps of problems-the worst being that sometimes a blue screen appears to tell me some problem was evaded and all physical memory dumped.Then i have to press the power button to restart the system-it happens every 5 mins or so,and is really annoying.The last time i sent my pc to dell it took me a bloody 2 weeks to get it back,and there were heaps of problems involved so i'll send it to them as a last resort-anything i can do myself to fix this?

Looking to get a laptop for my wife. She'll run Photoshop and web site design software on there. Most likely watch some movies and rip some CDs. Looking for something under $1000. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth would be nice as well.

Could it be that there is free extra memory with Avast?
Or a registry cleaner aspect?

The adapter outlet is loose and cannot recharge. I just wanted to know if there was any possible way to get the files from that computer? If anyone has any ideas, I'd like to know.

Hello,

Now thanks God I am beginning to get some hope. someone told me that If I was able to tell what language I want to change my windows language too that it would be much of a help.

Here it is. The Notebook is a hp Pavilion dv5000, the current language now is Italian and I need help on how to convert the language to english. i would be most grateful to get a response that would work.

When I first started using it the drive letter was F: and everything worked fine. I had to download some info onto a coworker's thumb drive and that's when it changed. I plugged his thumb drive in before I plugged my external hard drive in and every since the drive letter is G:. Every program I installed on the external hard drive has the location of F: so as a result if I click on the short cut it cannot find the program. How do I change the drive letter back to F:?

When I close my laptop, it goes into that battery save hibernation mode, when I open it, sometimes it doesnt bring up windows and often I have to hold down the power button and reboot it. Is there away to bring it out of hibernation without shutting down? Escape doesnt work and neither does enter....???

I'm a senior in high school and I want a Macbook for my graduation gift. Iv'e done lots of research and I'm pretty sure I want the black one.

I've heard the white ones get discolored. I'm also 100% sure I want a Mac because I'm interested in web design and media etc.

Is this a good choice? Also what are the cons of getting the black one?
