choice 2 my friend
The Duo Core is much better with running a bunch of software. Duo Core's are the replacement for the Centrinos, its basically a modified centrino processor.

Plus the Duo Core run way cooler than the boiling Centrinos.

I personally would go for your second choice:

100 GB SATA Hard drive (RPM 7200)
1 GB RAM
1.66 Duo Core
256 MB nvidia graphics card

definitely the second one!
its 20 GB more. and you have an RPM of 7200 which is fast.
SATA is serial ATA which is the latest type of connection, and it is also faster than regular ATA which has a parallel connection.
in other words... the 1.66 core duo (dual processor) will be more stable and faster, especially when you watch movies and stuff...
i am guessing it is a little expensive...but i think it's worth the money.
