PC is my choice because you can get high speed and disk space cheap where as laptop's are good for business and mobility, but laptops are way expensive and not reliable when compared to a PC

I have 3 of each ;) so if anyones qualified to answer, it's me!!! either one is good for it's own particular reason, so you should consider the following very carefully, laptops are generally more expensive than a computer of the same speed, ram, etc.... Laptops have "Shared Memory" which is actually your RAM being used as a graphics card...some computers also use this, but it can be disabled by installing another graphics card. Laptops also cannot be upgraded as much as a computer...for the most part all you can upgrade on a laptop is the RAM (to a point), or you can add GPS, or upgrade the Hard Drive.
HOWEVER there is an argument FOR Laptops, they are portable :D if your as big into computers as I am, it's good to have at least 1 laptop (I'd suggest an alienware, they are more expensive by FAR but your more likely to be able to run anything you want on one of them)
Hope I helped you out ;)

When it comes to economy ands performance I prefer a PC. When it comes to ease of carrying I prefer a laptop.

I definitely prefer PC's. Twice the performance, half the cost, and ultimate upgradeability. Of course, they're very hard to use in the car or in class, if you're a student.

A PC because it is much more stronger and stable compared to a laptop.

I repair PCs and have been given many lap tops that just" fell on the floor" usually expensive repair Whereas desktops don't usually fall on floors (always exceptions).and parts are gener ally easilly available so IMHO if you need a lap top stay with a desktop

******************
Laptops are PCs.
******************
If you mean laptops vs desktops then all the other answers apply.
