Which brand of laptop is better for downloading games,pictures and for doing home work? Dell,Gateway or Mac.

keep in mind I'm a college student and I need something that is afforable also I heard a Mac is better b/c it doesn't get many virus. I dont know about that b/c I never use a Mac and usually my desktop runs slow ne ways. thx in advanced :p

Dells are the cheapest. Macs are limited because you can't take your files to other computers if need be. You can create a file on a Dell and take it to a different pc to use it.

I really think that you should shy away from Macs. I like them so much better, but the professors at my college like to use programs that are not compatible with mac's. Between Dell and Gateway, I would have to pick Dell, pretty much just because of the awesome customer service that they offer, though I nothing against Gateway computers.
