Hello,

Now thanks God I am beginning to get some hope. someone told me that If I was able to tell what language I want to change my windows language too that it would be much of a help.

Here it is. The Notebook is a hp Pavilion dv5000, the current language now is Italian and I need help on how to convert the language to english. i would be most grateful to get a response that would work.

I exactly do not know, but its there in Start>Control Panel>Languages and Settings. Just explore a bit, you will be able to do it.

Reinstall Windows from a CD that uses English as the primary language. I have had laptops that were in Japanese when I got them (I speak and read only English), and this fixed everything. Windows Xp comes in hundreds of languages, each with it's own install CD.

If you bought the computer from some dealer, see if he might have a english copy of OS.

well i would try the booklet that came with the loptop first then ask others.
