I just need to walk into an ordinary computer shop and purchase a graphics card. I'm not very technical, but I can see that I have an IBM THinkCentre, purchased October 2006 brand new. It has a 3GHz CPU, 1GB RAM and just been upgraded to WinVISTA from WinXP SP2. AERO does not work. HELP.

I have a PCI Express slot, and I want to fill it!

If there are multiple card choose the one that performs the best.
Oh ,and I don't want it to make a lot of noise, or overheat or any thing. Odds are that I'll go with the lowest priced one that can match or surpass the PS3 graphics
Try looking for deals on www.newegg.com or other sites that would have deals on video cads

I can't wait to trick out my computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have two crucial rendition 1GB RAMs, and ASUS P5RD2-VM motherboard. When I switch RAMs (memory slots) windows fails to start (registry file is missing or corrupt). When I switch them back, problem disappears. I've tried this trick several times, and it's always the same, so, why does it happen?

My Athlon64 is at 53C when idle (room temp quite warm). I'm thinking of getting an exhaust case fan to lower temperature. Will an exhaust fan be useless if I didn't have an intake fan? I don't have any holes on the front or sides of my case, so I can't really use an intake fan.
If I were to get an exhaust case fan, how many degrees should I expect the temperature to go down by? I'm thinking of getting a 120mm 1200RPM fan.

My husband really wants to play World of Warcraft with his friends, but we have a Trident Blade 3D/ProMedia video card, and it's not supported by WoW, so it's a no-go. Is there some way to get my graphics to still work, but convince the computer it's running something else, so as to "trick" WoW into working? Or is there some other, easier way to get it to work?

I just upgraded my ati x300 video card that came with my dell 9100 to a evga geforce 7600 gt ko card in hopes of being able to play at a better resoulution/quality.. but the game wont start. I dont believe there is anything wrong with the card.. i havent received any errors and i have all of the latest drivers installed. Everything on my pc works fine but when I try to start BF2 i get the black screen (as if it were to start the game) but it stays for a few seconds and then it returns to my desktop. This is pissing me off because i know the card should be compatible with the game. I know a lot of people that have even higher end cards that work no sweat. Please help!!!

My Mouse Keeps freezing. I would originally think it is because the Mouse is Dirty. But it wont register a click at all. It will work sometimes for 5 minutes, sometimes for and hour and sometimes if im lucky 2. It is very very annoying.

Please tell me what is wrong, and how to fix it.

I dont think it is a problem with the mouse, just the computer. Because when I use a mouse that uses the USB port. It works like a charm.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a type of silicon chip or something of that sort that can store A LOT of memory, mainly in the form of videos as well as text.
And not only that, but smaller than a postage stamp?

Also would it be able to survive being swallowed and staying in the body for about two hours?

This sounds like a stupid question but it's for a story and i need accurate information.
Any suggestions?

when lookin on the backside of my comp tower, it looks like this

X --- video card
Empty
Empty
X --- Sound card
Empty
X --- Ethernet Card

the problem is, the fan is on the top, so i was thinking of putting it on top of the video card, but theres no slot. and i cant move the video card, so if i put it under the video card would this be okay?
