If the same socket format, most likely POSSIBLE. It now depends on whether the motherboard supports that replacement processor, especially with regard to fsb.

Complicated question; you must ensure many things before even attempting such a move. First of all make sure you have the same brand processor eg. Intel to Intel. Secondly, you must ensure they are the same generation. The quickest way to check this is getting a program such as CPU-Z and checking the motherboard socket type on you computer. If both computers have the same socket type then a move can be attempted.
Several things to keep in mind though, when you remove the CPU the heatsink comes off and therefore requiring a new application of thermal padding, or thermal conductor between the CPU and the heatsink. Typically stock heatsink/CPU combos use a thermal padding which cannot be applied more than once so I would suggest taking some alcohol and cleaning the surface of the heatsink and CPU with a Q-tip. Afterwards using some new thermal conducter such as Artic Silver 5 reinstall the heatsink on the CPU. This is a rather complex process and more can be read on it online.
Good luck.

Find out what kind of cpu it is then go to the website of your motherboard and see if it will take it. Make sure you have at least the bios needed to run the cpu and if it shows you need a certain revision of the board make sure you have at least that revision(printed on board usually right under the name on board) Make sure you know the different cpu types such as LPA775, 478pin etc because, for example, a 3.0GHZ P4 comes in LPA775 and 478pin.

Processors need to be compatable with the motherboard etc, so i would say check makes of motherboard by searching manufacturers website.
Aida32 is a good program that tells you everything you have on your pc, which would help you find out which motherboard etc you have also provides links to the websites, you would need a copy of this on both pc`s.
Link below, good luck

Not likley. There are several different types of processors. I mean Physical differences. Different number of PINS. Different shape.
The only way you could do it, is if both PC's motherboards and processors were EXACTLY the same

The motherboard has to be equipped to handle the processor. There are Intel based motherboards for Intel chips and AMD based motherboards for AMD chips.

Yes, Check compatibility, check your Board if its Intel or AMD, check the socket types (slot or socket) slot those Pentium 1-3 CPUs, and lastly check the pins of the cpu and if your board also support that. have it check by the proper IT guys to be sure.
