My Mouse Keeps freezing. I would originally think it is because the Mouse is Dirty. But it wont register a click at all. It will work sometimes for 5 minutes, sometimes for and hour and sometimes if im lucky 2. It is very very annoying.

Please tell me what is wrong, and how to fix it.

I dont think it is a problem with the mouse, just the computer. Because when I use a mouse that uses the USB port. It works like a charm.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

If it is cordless make sure the receptor is plugged in good. I had trouble with mine & it just needed pushed in a little. Or you may need to reset it on the receptor & the mouse itself. Also check the batteries.

Is it a wireless mouse? If so then the batteries might need replaced in the mouse. Is it a track mouse or a infared mouse? infared mouses dont get dirty but if it is a track mouse take the ball out and wipe it off and clean those rollers on the inside of the mouse too. If that doesnt work then hit CTRL ALT DELETE and see what processes are running. maybe you have some spyware or a virus in there.

Turn off your computer, rule of thumb, always turn off the machine, when unplugging, and plugging it back in!
maybe its from that, thats why it would freeze, or mouse is not working properly, go to the control panel, change your settings on the mouse property, and play with it, if that dont work, turn off the computer, unplug the mouse, check if everything is OK!
make sure the pins are OK!!! very important...if one is missing, then thats the problem..and clean the mouse, use a Q tip to clean inside of it!! not napkin, or keenex, u can..but i like Q tips better

Sounds like you might need to run Disk Cleanup as well.

But, go to Start>Control Panel>Mouse

to troubleshoot or adjust your mouse.
