Well i bought a geforce 8600 gts pny graphic card in april of 2007.. can anyone tell me all of a sudden why my fps isnt as high as it usta go .. i was thinking the settings.. but its already on preformance and not quality..

Hi,

I'm building a new computer and i don't know which graphics card is best for my pc without my processor bottlenecking it. The processor i'm using is an Intel Pentium 3 Tualatin 1.4GHz. Any idea what's the best nvidia 6 series card for this cpu? i don't want to waste money on a card that will be bottlenecked.

I have a device which has a USB port; now I wanna connec it wirelessly to the computer ; and don't want to use bluetooth ( which is in 2.45GHZ freq)
I wanna use something which is using around 900MHz ...
any suggestion
something like bluetooth working in different range of freq?
so i can have one board connected to mydevice and one to the usb port of my computer

I have an eMachines T3958 computer. It's low end and only has PCI slots so, should I get an ATI 9250 or a BFG with GeForce 6200 OC. Also does the 9250 overheat and if so badly? I had wanted a 9250 but saw about the possible overheating problem and looked for an Nvidia card.

Well, it's not wierd but it acts dumb, fist of all the graphic cards specs are this on my laptop, 64 dedicated memory and 287 shared memory, supporst dx9..Anyways, the wierdness in all this is that when run the game Fable i can play it until the scene where i go to the school, most people wont know what that is so its like a video, in the game. When it gets to that part, the screen goes black, all i hear is the voices, and the game is supposed to work on it! Well it doesnt...Now the wierd part, the game lost planet, which is new and requires a really good graphics card, works on mine! wierd right? Lost planet runs even at a pace of 12fps but it runs!!

My POINT why doesn't Fable work but Lost Planet does?
Oh and Titan quest doesnt work either...for some more wierd reasons, Titan Quest doesnt even open..

Oh by the way the pixel shader is 3.0 on the graphics card

i have a new computer, its pretty solid but as im noticing with companies, they like to skimp on the graphics card . . . the comp is HP, AMD dual core @ 2.6 ghz each, 3 gigs of ddr2 ram. i play half life 2 alot, and just started episode one and its very slow even with the settings all turned down. i already know im going to need to upgrade the power supply from the 250w to atleast 350 or 400watts. i am wondering what else i need to know in regards to what cards will be compatible, like for example, since my ram is DDR2 does that mean the graphics card has to be DDR2 also? or can i go up to DDR3 with the upgraded power supply? any help on this matter would be appreciated. . . i was looking around the 100 - 150 price range if anyone has any suggestions also. thanks.

I have a Dell Dimension 4600. I am upgrading the RAM. It currently has two sticks of DDR 256MB @333MHz (PC2700).

Which of these three setups would be best:

1. 2 sticks of DDR 256MB @ 333MHz (PC2700)
and
2 sticks of DDR 512MB @ 400MHz (PC3200)

2. 2 sticks of DDR 256MB @ 333MHz (PC2700)
and
2 sticks of DDR 512MB @ 333MHz (PC2700)

3. 2 sticks of DDR 512 @ 400MHz (PC3200)


I plan to use this computer for playing games. Please tell me which of the three above setups would work best for my computer. Do not tell me to upgrade to a higher frequency of RAM, because this is not possible with my motherboard. Do not tell me to upgrade to DDR-2 RAM because that is also not possible.

i've got the mic boost on and the mic thinger turned up all the way in the volume control - recording and playback. (and yes it's on lol) but it's still very quiet. it's plugged in where it's sposed to be. i've tried it with multiple programs and it's still really quiet. i have to turn my speakers up pretty far to hear it.

My computer which used to have good sound untill I plugged
My shortwave receiver into it !!!!
after that there is no sound at all device manger says that sound card is still working any ideas
