I have an eMachines T3958 computer. It's low end and only has PCI slots so, should I get an ATI 9250 or a BFG with GeForce 6200 OC. Also does the 9250 overheat and if so badly? I had wanted a 9250 but saw about the possible overheating problem and looked for an Nvidia card.

I do not expect awesome detail or power just an upgrade from my 64MB motherboard graphics, the newest game that i'll be playing is TMNT which is pretty weak in tearms of graphics, the other newer game is Trackmania Sunrise and Nations which still don't use anymore than 128MB recomended

Geforce 6200 is better but do not expect awesome performance on any PCI graphics card. The PCI bus is SLOW for 3D graphics acceleration.

Don't get the ATI 9250, it uses Direct X 8, get the NVIDIA card. Make sure the card is Direct X 9 or 10!

it shouldnt matter what card you get that is that high, because it is a pci slot, it can only go so fast, i know this because i done the same thing, i say BFG is your best bet, thats what i got and i can play oblivion very good but i also have a AGP slot which is more fast then pci but not pci express

but if your looking for a game machine just make a custom computer its alot cheaper then a brand name already made one and you can get more for your money, go to tiger direct .com and you should get a great pc

Go to newegg.com they have an ati radeon x1550 pci version its 128 bit with 256mb memory I would recommend it
It features DX9, Shader Model 3.0, T&L, and other up to date features and it will give you decent framerates dont buy stuff from any retail stores newegg is your bestfriend they are cheap I have an x1300 pci with a 64 bit interface so the x1550 will be quite fast.
