yeah, it's ok. i have a pentium 4 2.8 GHz and it's fast for games. So your Pentium D should be no problem. Get a good and fast graphics card though, recommend Nvidia.

Quite OK but it runs HOT (95Watts or 135W). It will just be comparable to the new Pentium E2160 (1.8Ghz) that draws only 65W. The E4300 (also 65W) could easily beat the Pentium D 945. Some benchmarks:

sure. Its big and has dual core--not the punch a core 2 duo has but will do a lot more than ok with games. Video games are dependant on: 1. Graphics card 2. Ram 3.cpu , so as long as you have a great graphics card and a lot of ram you'll do fine in games.

If you already bought this P4 3.4 continue that ok there is not any problem for that fom games but you have to install a good Antivirus. OR buy 3.0 Ghz Dual Core Will be more better then 3.4

yes! it's fine. see if you can overclock it but even without an overclock it runs A ok.
