I just upgraded my ati x300 video card that came with my dell 9100 to a evga geforce 7600 gt ko card in hopes of being able to play at a better resoulution/quality.. but the game wont start. I dont believe there is anything wrong with the card.. i havent received any errors and i have all of the latest drivers installed. Everything on my pc works fine but when I try to start BF2 i get the black screen (as if it were to start the game) but it stays for a few seconds and then it returns to my desktop. This is pissing me off because i know the card should be compatible with the game. I know a lot of people that have even higher end cards that work no sweat. Please help!!!

Did you upgrade your power supply too? Your 7600GT's power consumption is low in 2D and video mode. BUT once you load a 3D game, its power consumption is at full load (about 36 watts). Your power supply might be weak on the +12V rail.

Upgrade your power supply.
