my friend has this motherboard here:
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/service/DriverDetail.aspx?id=en-us0000569&Pname=P4M800P7MB-RS2,P4M800P7MB-RS2H

The above is the manual.

The video card he is trying to use is an ATI Radeon Sapphire 128 mb Card.

He has 512 mb ram.
500 watt power supply (just bought)

It says in the manual that the board supports Agp 3.0.
However, when he tries to load any modern 3d game like bf2(512 mb ram required) or counter strike source(256 mb ram required) etc. the whole pc freezes all together.

Any ideas?

I'm just learning about memory and graphics cards... this time I'm looking into the graphics card. I know i should get something like NVidia GeForce 7300 or more, or ATI Radeon x1800 or something.. but I keep running into things like "when you have an acp system, make sure you only install..." blah blah... What do those letters mean?

My specs are:
Dell Dimention c521
Windows Vista Premium
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
2gb RAM
Direct X10
Integrated NVIDIA Geforce 6150 LE (approx total Memory 330MB)

I am buyin a new graphics card as my old one is built into teh mother board and produces crap frame rates if i turn any of ma games above low settings. This frustrates me a lot. Could you plz tell me what is the best Graphics card ( under £50 ) that i could buy right now.

I have an intel p4 windows xp sp2. I found out I loooove multimedia, powerpoint...games....all that.
I have an intel(r) graphics card that needs replacing by NVidia GeForce.
I have 512mb ram. (what can I say, naive first buyer)
I want to upgrade to the specified graphics card but I suspect my poor 512mb ram will be eaten in seconds...I've already extended virtual memory to maximum and I find it a poor solution.
so, please tell me this: how can I upgrade the amount of ram in my existing desktop?
By the way...I do not want to upgrade xp to vista, because of so many things not yet working in vista... anyone who can explain clearly is greatly appreciated :)

Is that all I have to do? So I'll just have to move the power(P2) and the long flat cable(don't know the name) to the new drive, right? Oh, and what's the normal size of a cd-rw drive?
