when i try to make a music cd my burner acts like its going to burn all 18 or 19 songs burns the first song then close's the disc a message pops up says to check & make sure disc is clean not damage or try another brand of blankes, or use a slower speed tried a slower speed still wont burn all the songs.i use memorex cds never had a problem before on a lap top computer i now have a hp pavilion desk top thats been up graded to windows xp can any body help?

I have had the same problems, I have had to try different brand disk. Get a "can of air" and spray in the disk tray area to blow away anything that may be in there.

Check the CD manufacturer's website for details on what brand works best with their burners.
