How can i make my internal dvd drive an external drive?

Put it on the outside of the case...ta da! You now have an external drive ;-)

Take the drive out and put it into a drive enclosure.

You can buy an external enclosure for about $20. Stick it in that.

Open the side of your tower, unscrew the DVD player from the PC and lie it on the outside of the machine.
