you can buy a new harddrive, I doubt you could find a 20GB one anymore, probably need to go to 40GB. Add that in as a second drive if you have the room. Transferring all your programs and data from one drive to another is fairly complex. You may want some professional help to do that.

40GB internal harddrive advertised at $35-$75

Like everyone has said, you cannot add to your existing HD. Adding a second would be one solution. 20GB? That's not a very large increase, you will wish you had more, Time to think about, "hey maybe a new computer". I'm not saying yours is not good, but to add a different HD it might be cheaper and you a lot happier.

You need to get another hard drive. You cannot add more to an existing one. This is like looking at a $1 bill and saying "How can I make this into a $5 bill?".

You can't.

You can't add extra space to a drive, you can add a second drive with the required extra space, or take the original drive out and put a larger one in

you can't add space to your hard drive.
You are probably thinking of Ram, which is upgradable.

If you need more hard drive space, you will have to purchase another hard drive...which you can use as a secondary hard drive, so you don't have to re-install all of your programs.

If you are unsure how to do this, you might want to get one of your computer tech types friends to install the new hard drive, or take it to a computer shop for them to do.

Infinitely expensive. Currently, there is no way to add Gigabytes to a harddrive. You can replace the harddrive with a bigger one. You can add multiple drives to a CPU. But, you cannot add storage capacity to an existing drive.

Before you buy a new hard drive, you will have to determine if your PC can handle it. Example: I could not upgrade my old Pentium because of the limitations of the motherboard.
