A vanilla 6800 is a little expensive. Around the same price you can get a far faster x1950 pro in pci-e.

Buy what your power supply can handle. The 6600GT is a 48 watter, the plain 6800 just draws 38 watts.

I would go with the 6800 it comed with 256MB Video Memory as apose to the 6600 with only has 128MB.

6800, hands down.

Not only does it have twice the memory like the previous poster mentioned, it also has more pixel and vertex pipelines which translates into faster video processing.

Neither spend a little more for a better card. if you have PCI-E get one of these:
