Computer issue, please HELP!! I am desperate?
Something is wrong with my computer. When I click Start, Programs, and then Accessories, I no longer have the same 'Accessories' that I did this morning. For example, I'm lacking such programs as Bitmap, Calculator, System Tools, Disk Clean-Up, etc.

How do I get these things back? I am desperate.

My computer doesn't have a virus, and I'm operating on Windows XP.

if im upgrading to a geforce 7600GT 256mb. and its slot is pci-e. do i remove my other card if its pci? or can i keep both of them in there? i currently have a GeForce 6150 LE 256 mb

I Called Sony a hundred times they don’t have it. I look at the Sony website they don’t have it. I have a Dell diemsion E510 working on windows XP
Pro edition.I have used windows update and installed everything it told me to.
I also have driver dectective and it says i have 9 drivers need to be updated.
I have the latestest 7.2 Catylast center for my 128mb
Ati Radeon X300 series. But when i go to my decive manager under >My computer>Properties
It says my video card needs a new driver update?
It also says my network adapter driver, usb drivers, and sound-viedeo-game controller are fine
But my driver detective driver says they are all bad
and i somehow have 2 unplugged devices which i have no clue about.
My usb are intel (i think 945g family)

I know this is alot but anyone have any idea how to fix all this junk?

I need updates cause when i play civilization 4 on my computer its crashes with either a memory faliure
or a ati2dvag infinte loop errror

I have a Dell Inspiron 600m, and I was wondering if it was possible to install a new video/graphics card. I know that it comes with a 32 MB DDR ATi® MobilityTM RADEON® 9000 4X AGP. But I'd sure like something better. Is this possible? And if so, how do I go about getting one?

Here is the situation: I have a new mobo and when I installed it windows would only start in safe mode so I decided to reinstall windows. I have a Maxtor 6Y200M0 Diamond Plus 9 HD and windows does not support it. When reinstalling windows says to press f6 to install drivers for scsi or raid devices so I press that and it ask for a floppy. I went on Maxtors website and got the drivers and when I try to use to it just says "the file txtsetup.oem could not be found". Should I be trying to use drivers from the mobo manufacturer? BTW, my mother board is a MSI K8M890M2-V. Can anyone help me or tell me what I need to do to get windows to work with my HD?

I plugged in my external hard drive last night, my computer assigned a drive letter, I was able to move data around and everything worked perfect. I turned my computer off before I went to bed, woke up, turned it back on and realized I had left the HD on. Windows wouldn't boot, because I had something in the USB (does the same thing when my IPod is plugged in). So I turn the power off to my external, hit reset on the computer, and waited for Windows to boot completely. I turned the power to the external on, and now Windows won't recognize it. Any ideas?

While booting up Linux it comes up with a message something related to NVidia....and asks me to mount the CD drive.What I can figure out is that it is trying to install the drivers for the Graphics card....but I dont know how to install them.
I try putting in the drivers CD when it asks to mount the CD drive but I don't know the commands in Linux.
Can anyone help?

I bought a home stereo system a few days ago & it has a USB port & a USB source option and can play MP3's. I want to run a USB external HDD through the port to play MP3's like a digital jukebox so I do not have to change out cd's.

Can I & how would I go about doing this if possible?
