Computer issue, please HELP!! I am desperate?
Something is wrong with my computer. When I click Start, Programs, and then Accessories, I no longer have the same 'Accessories' that I did this morning. For example, I'm lacking such programs as Bitmap, Calculator, System Tools, Disk Clean-Up, etc.

How do I get these things back? I am desperate.

My computer doesn't have a virus, and I'm operating on Windows XP.

Go to control panel "add/remove programs".
Choose "add/remove Windows components"

If you still see them there remove the missing accessories & then add them again.
If you don't see them there just add them again.

Odds are there was a minor file corruption in one or more of your system files.
This will repair it.

Try a 'soft reboot' and see if your 'accessories' aren't back where they belong. If that doesn't work, do a 'hard reboot' (turn it 'all the way off' and let it sit for at least a minute before you turn it on again) ... if that doesn't work, reboot a third time and 'stop it' when you have the signal and can go into 'safe mode' and then look at your 'accessories' again. I'm guessing that you somehow accidentally 'hid' those programs, and that the 'reboot' process with return them to their 'default' mode so that they'll 'show up' when you hit 'accessories' on your computer.
