Since I went to 8M broadband I've had a lot of breakthrough noise on my PC audio. Anyone else ?

So I moved the router modem further away, problem much less now.

Everything is possible.
Odds are that the cable to your router is not well shielded for interference.

Try muting the feed from your microphone to see if that improves matters. I have a different Broadband supplier, but that worked for me.

Changing the Internet Connection speed has nothing to do with your audio....the problem is probably with your speakers.
