I have a Gateway computer with windows 98 on it. I installed the drivers for my San Disk 128 MB flash drive and it still won't work. Any ideas on whats wrong and how to fix it?

I have 2 512 MB PC3200 (DDR400) ram sticks. I am thinking of getting Another Gig. So my question is, can I buy just one gigabite stick, or do I have to buy two 512Mb sticks? Also, the two sticks I have now both have heatsinks, so does the next set of ram I buy also have to have heatsinks?

I download the Cd that comes with the Logitech and now my compter is all weird. I can't hear sound from youtube videos or from myspace. But i can hear sound from Movie trailers on the internet or itunes. I unstalled logitech but my computer is still weird and i've restarted my computer several times.. Whats Wrong?

Okay I want to change my graphic card!

This is my first post here and I hope someone can help me. I bought and installed the p965t-a and got the computer to power up and even to the point where it starts loading the OS on the hard drive. But I can't get more than one IDE device to work at the same time, and the BIOS doesn't recognize anything as IDE master or slave. It finds the hard drive, but only in the "boot sequence" menus of the BIOS (and there, oddly, as SCSI). I'd like to have a hard drive work and also my CD-ROM drive so that I can install an operating system (since my old one was spread out over several HDs). Can anyone help me? Sorry for being inept.

well when i play dvds in my pc the video quality is great but the sound is kinda funny, it sounds as if the dvd was strached but my dvds are fine.sound sorta like if the sound is skipping. can it be my sound card?help thanx

Here's what I think I know:

RAM stores every bit of memory in it's own little special spot. In DRAM there is one transistor per bit, in SRAM there are six per bit. Hearing that, I assume that DRAM is more effecient, but I don't know.

I also have no idea what "clock spead is"
And isn't Double Data Rate SDRAM going to be like the RAM God?

Anyway, here's what my problem is:
I got this new computer and it only has 256MB of RAM. I got this computer to replace the computer I have now. The one I have now has an entire gig of memory. I have no idea what type of RAM my old computer takes but the new one only accepts PC800. And many places don't carry PC800, and the places that do sell it for $300 for every 512. AND My computer only takes it in groups of 2. So I would need to spend $600 for a gig of ram or I could find 2 256MB and spend about $400 for half a gig.
Oh yah, and the new computer, every memory module must be the same amount. And right now there are 2 256mbs

My Alienware computer has a creative XFi soundcard (sorry don't know exact specs). The computer is about 3 months old. For Christmas, I got Bose Companion 5 speakers that connect through a USB.

The Bose people said I don't need the card ( and I could use the audio in jack on the speakers to connect to the card but I will probably lose sound quality)

Alienware said the card is more important and I should return my beautiful speakers.

What's the deal? Should I just sell the soundcard?
