It can cost anywhere from $10 to a $100 depending on your computer and the RAM it needs. I usually go to Ebay to get the best deals on RAM.

its depends how much more memory you want it will cost you about from $10 -$1,000
For an extra $20 I bought more computer than the GQ 3091. I had upgraded from a AMD Duron 1600 to a 2600. I went from 256 MB of RAM to 512 MB, from a 40 GB Hard drive to an 80 GB drive and from a 52X CD ROM drive to a 48 by 16X DVD ROM I also went from a shared on-board AGP Video chip that pulled down the system memory to an ATI Expert 128 with 32 MB of its own memory and 3D capability
If the drive light is flickering like crazy, then it's probably time to install more memory. But before you unplug the cables, lug the machine to the car, drive to the computer store, wait to have RAM installed, and pay a minimum of $25 for the service, consider installing RAM yourself

This site is by far the most comprehensive in choosing memory for your PC or Apple. They are extremely inexpensive for the quality you get. What's great, is that if you're unsure about what type of memory you need, they have a tool to check you computer. They also buy back your old memory! I only use these guys.

Depends on the type of memory and amount of memory. But it's around 10-15 cents per MB.
