Yes that is your graphics card and yes those are PCI slots. Contrary to popular belief, not ALL vid cards come with a fan. The newer ones that provide a higher output, clearer graphics and richer more vibrant colors do have their own fan. Most of the graphics cards that came in machines built by a manufacturer (e.g. Dell, HP) didn't come with top of the line video cards. The reason: to keep the cost of making the machine lower so that people can easily afford them. Changing out your graphics card is a good idea, but I'd first recommend taking a can of compressed air and blowing out the inside of that case, that thing is filthy!

The white slots are PCI slots. It is difficult to tell from the photo if this is a video graphics card or not. Is there a model number printer on the circuit board? Can you provide a picture of the card from the back of the computer? Often newer computers use AGP or Express slots but if it is an older computer it could be a standard PCI video graphics card. Also, it is possible the graphics card is integrated into your motherboard. In that case, you would install a new PCI graphics card and disable the onboard card from your system BIOS. Post another question if you need help with this!

Yes as far as I can tell. Yes they are PCI slots. Make sure your new graphics card is for a PCI and not AGP or PCI express 16 as those are different adapters entirely. Good picture by the way. No graphics cards do not always have fans on them. Heat sinks are used instead.
Depending on what your motherboard will support, You can get a decent Radeon or Nivida 256 for a PCI

Your graphics card is easy to find because it is what your monitor plugs into. If the slot at the end of that card is where you plug in your monitor cable than that is it. BTW that is a PCI card, so you would need a PCI replacement. NOT PCI-E or AGP. If you find that your cable plugs into a spot a little higher on the back that means it is an on-board graphics card. You could still get a PCI replacement video card.

Compared to my computer yours is spotlessly clean lol! Your graphics card depending on the age does NOT necessarily have a fan on, only later versions. Easiest way to tell is on the outside of the case does the monitor plug into this card? If yes that's your graphics card. And yes the white slots are PCI slots. Do u know how to remove/replace graphics card yourself safely? If not then feel free to e-mail me and I'll help (before you take out the card of course lol)

Right click the "My Computer" icon and select "Manage." Then go to the Device Manager and drill down to your Display Adapter. At least, that's how to do it in XP. You cannot update your video card for free. It isn't software, it's a component inside your computer. You need to buy a new one and replace it. If you have a laptop, then you're absolutely stuck with the graphics card that you have.

It's difficult to tell from that picture, but the easiest way to answer your question is by asking another one: is your monitor plugged into that card? The monitor always plugs into the gfx card so if it is then that's your gfx card; if not then it's not.
And yeah, the white slots are PCI slots.

its hard to say ... if ur monitor plugs into it then its ur graphics card ..... and yes thats pci slots and you would be limited to pci graphics .... if that is ur video card then its not even worth the effort imo ... u need a new motherboard that supports agp or pci express to get into a video card that will work good with the latest games ...
