When trying to get onto windows vista, im asked to put in a 25 digit product number, and ive found the number on the back of the laptop, but when i type it in it comes up with invalid - wrong number :S why is this. What can i do? Please help!

It say problem communicating with the printer when I try to print a document. I tried all the troubleshooting advice it said, but none of it work. It said check the usb cable and port, power on and power of the printer and also uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. None of it worked. Can somebody help me?

Well so ive been wondering because I just bought a Windows Vista Home Premium about 5 or 6 months ago, but now its slow as a slug! I ususally multitask with Mozilla, games, AIM, Yahoo Instant Messenger, Windows Media, Word Doc etc. So would adding more RAM help?

I want to buy a laptop? I would be using it for mostly work but also for gaming. The work I would be doing would be for school but at school they have a pc not mac. However I heard that mac is great for work. So I would like a laptop that has quite big amount of storage for work and gaming. I would also like the laptop to be very fast. I have had a laptop before so I dont want anything that overheats and freezes and also that does not get viruses. I dont want anything thats crap or sucks. What laptop should I get then and which model. The price DOES NOT REALLY matter. But then what laptop should I get then?

I'm building a new pc, I'm quite new to SLI Technology but I do already have 1 of the two graphic cards I will be needing. (still waiting on the motherboard, here's the specs on it: http://www.directron.com/crosshair.html#caption ) but I have noticed here lately even the power supplies are labled "SLI Ready" will a standard power supply not deliver the power needed?

all was running fine for 1year no changes made then all off a suddan my computer started playing up it would not close down when asked. and started saying memory error.so i changed the memory thats error has gone. i get a massage about my main drives need updating or my bios i have update all. off them and still my coumpter still not shut down when i ask. it is computer is a AMD3000+ 64 BITE

my mobo is Asus P5W DH and is it PCIe 1.1 one PCIe2 ..
and if i buy a PCIe2 and use it on PCIe 1.1 solt will the card gives me whole 100% output or is it going be less due that card is V2 but mobo is v1.1 ,.....have a look at this site says dosent matter whihc PCIe1 u have on your MOBO it will work 100%

Computer, keeps flickering on textures, most reasonably good graphics games, CSS, Guild wars etc?
help? the textures flicker, freeze game, black screen, normal game, flickering again, then crash. (it might not be the texture theres just random lines)

Someone said its to do with the graphics card not getting enough resources? Was he right?

I'm trying to transfer some 1100 honeymoon pictures from CD to a new external hard drive. I've already transfered thousands of pics from my pc's hard drive to the external without issue, however when I try to copy them from the CD, it will copy most of them but then an error message pops up saying "can not copy DSCF0019: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)". If I stop and restart the copying after that picture it will go fine again, until it hits another one. Any ideas?

In the summer I got a new, fairly budget Toshiba L40 laptop from PC World with Vista installed. I have a problem that's getting worse - sometimes when I'm playing video I get the blue screen of death, it doesnt happen every time I'm watching something but it happens fairly frequently and only ever crashes when there's a browser with a video playing.
Someone suggested to me to see if I had the latest driver downloaded, I know what video card it is but is it ok to just download another driver since there must already be one installed? And is it possible that PCWorld (yeah i know they're crap) sell laptops with the wrong/not sufficient driver installed?? Or can you think of another reason for this problem
