I have XP and Vista on my desktop but I want to delete one and keep the other so I can add more space to my hd but I dont know how to do it....

You could use something like "Partition Magic" to remove the partition.

Start, Run, type msconfig. In the Startup tab, remove the bootup sequence referring to XP.

Right click My computer, Disk manage. Remove the XP partition.

Accept the warnings. Reboot. You may have to adjust the BIOS at POST (poweron self test) to make vista partition as the default.

XP is removed but they are still there. As you start to use, those spaces occupied by XP is available to vista based programs.

You may want to consider diskfrag to speed up the disk.

It's fairly simple. Right click on my computer on the desktop and click manage. Then click disk management on the left and find the partition that contains the the other OS and right click and delete. Done!
