Computer, keeps flickering on textures, most reasonably good graphics games, CSS, Guild wars etc?
help? the textures flicker, freeze game, black screen, normal game, flickering again, then crash. (it might not be the texture theres just random lines)

Someone said its to do with the graphics card not getting enough resources? Was he right?

i have a Radeon X700SE graphics card, I'm fairly sure its fully updated, etc

Sounds like hardware problem to me

Either your Power Supply Unit is not giving proper supply of power to your system (maximum power consumption higher than PSU can handle OR PSU is about to fail)

If not PSU, then its the card itself. Either it's overheating, or the card is defective.

Speedfan is a software that may be able to monitor your voltage. Keep an eye on the 12v, 5v and 3.3v voltage. Of course the reading of those voltage should be near those value. If lets say your 12v reading gives you a value of 11v, something is wrong with your PSU.

Take a look at your graphic card fan, if there's any. make sure its spinning all the time.

If you suspect your graphic card is defective, then you'll have to replace it with another card and see how it goes.
