my father wishes to put his other IDE hard drive inside his computer, we have managed to put them both in, but we can't boot the omputer up with both hard drives plugged in, there doesnt seem to be an option under the BIOS to select hard drives, both of these hard drives have Windows XP on them, is this a factor?, also i cannot tell which part of the IDE cable is primary or seconday, there are two HDD connections and the other goes to the motherboard which is an ASUS, if anyone can help i will be very grateful, thanks

Has anyone got any ideas on how best to move on an old 17" CRT monitor? We've offered it free to collector on Freecycle and in the Friday ad but nobody seems interested. We don't really want to dump it as it's in good working condition, but lack of space meant that we're moved onto a TFT.

PS. If anyone is in East Sussex and would be interested in taking it away, please email.

We have a Dell desktop and recently it had been not working correctly. It runs on windows XP, and recently as soon as we click on a name to sign in, it immediately logs the user off, not even 3 seconds later and without any icons appearing. Does anyone know what is wrong ir has had the same problem? If so, where or how did you fix it?

When I press the on button on the laptop it will sometimes turn on immediately but sometimes it won't. I could push down on the button and count to ten, then it will turn on(a few time)Usually it won't turn on at all. What is up with the laptop? Could it have a virus? The laptop is a Dell. It is about 4 years old.
