What is the difference between PS and PCL printer? Which is better? Which is expensive?

my keyboard works until windows xp loads and then you can see the light go off on my keyboard and then it doesnt work no more,,,,what should i do?........ another question is when i try to shutdown my computer is has the options- STANDBY,TURN OFF and RESTART, the standby button wont light up and i cant click on that, is that a problem and can it be fixed?

What PSU do i need to run the following:

Intel Core2 2.9ghz extreme edition X6800
150 gb WD Rapter 10,000RPM SATA hard disk
500 gb WD Sata hard disk
DVD burner
4x 1gb OCZ PC8500 DDR2 ram
Audigy2 ZS sound card
EVGA 8800 GTS 640mb Video card.

Roughly 5 fans (not including CPU or video card fan)

looking for something that will support this without running into any problems. As I was some really large cost difference between power supplies, i wasn't sure which is the correct one for what i want to do.

I do not plan to upgrade or overclock any of that any time soon.

At the moment i am trying to make a website, using net2ftp.com

I had 2 images-I cut out a part of one and placed it onto the second (layer 1 cut and paste to background.) Then used opacity to make more transparant.

But the background of the cut out needs to be blended into the original image while the person from the cut out still remains in regular color. How do I manipulate and blend from a copy and paste?

Any idiot can look an answer up from them, so why do people answer with 'wikipedia answers'?

hey, ive just downloaded limewire a music downloading engine, a legal one might i add i payed for it,. but when i try to download a song a message pops up saying a firewall is stopping you from downloading songs, any ideas how i get rid of the firewall, thanks x

I've had numerous viruses infect my computer and I'm wondering why? Once they infect (at least the ones I've gotten) slow the computer down so much you can't even navigate.

I don't keep ANY personal history on my PC (no banking, bill paying etc.) so why infect the PC? Aside from "cookies" I have nothing on my PC that I believe would be useful to anyone.

im doing work on word and i want to see how it will look (like in print preview) when i prints as i type it

at the minute it is showing text right at the very top of the page, but whenever i go to print preview it is spaced like it should be.

when i go to the view options it is set at print layout already so its not that.

Brand new hard drive, came with sound card...can't get any sound.....supposed to have built in speakers and even when I plug in my old speakers I still can't get any sound.....Am I supposed to even need speakers?
No sound whats so ever.......any suggestions or remedies besides throwing it out the window?

i have windows firewall and the internet pop-up blocker turned on, but i still get a popup once almost every minute. i have checked and rechecked that windows firewall and popup blocker ARE on and they are, so i dont know why popups are coming through. i have bittorrent running, is that maybe the reason popups are coming through? i hate popups

I have got four user accounts on my pc,and I'm the administrator and I have forgotton my password. I have no recovery or original disc to put into my pc and I need to get to my files for work but can't access them. How can I change the password with no discs at all. The other problem I'm having is the pc is telling me that "a pop up window was blocked" and it is doing my head in. I think that someone knew the password and has changed it. Can anybody help me, even by getting into my pc from somewhere else in the world via remote and if that is the case, how do I go about setting that up. I am an idiot when it comes to computers?

on my monitor. Does anyone know how I can make the writing (like on here, for instance) -- BIGGER??? I know how to change fonts when I'm typing in word, etc....but I'm talking about readings these words and on myspace....I have an OLD PC. Help? I can see well up close but the way this computer is set up, the monitor has to be a little to far away.

Please help me urgently, I have so much Christmas printing to do.

Today, I installed a genuine Lexmark 16 black ink cartridge and a genuine Lexmark 26 colour ink cartridge, into my printer this very day. I carried out the correct installation.

The printed copy is 'all to pot' and the colour red and blue seems to be totally missing.

I have the colour 26 on the left of the printer and the b/w 16 on the right of the printer.

Will the printer work with only one coloured cartridge and can the cartridges be safely swapped around, or does this cause problems?

The test page comes out a golden colour and lacks the vibrant colours of previous test pages.

What do you think is wrong?

Can the colour 26 perhaps have dried up? It was certainly still in its sealed package, when I installed it today.

Please help me urgently, I have so much Christmas printing to do.
