I would go with Dell. Dell provides good customer service if you have a problem.
For what it's worth, I know someone who owned an HP laptop. The battery pack burned up (Yes, burned up,) and HP would do nothing for them. Stay away from HP!

Dell, Toshiba, Acer, you really can't go wrong unless you buy no-name, it all depends on whats on the inside. Also, you want to look at warranties and customer service, for those I'd choose Dell.
