what does that mean? Do they have access to what I am doing, researching, writing etc? How can you find out if that is happening and who it is? In other words, if I don't just want to reload my printer but want to find out who I've been sharing with, is that possible? Thanks, Nancy

Alright, so about four or five days ago, my new computer got a little wacky. For one thing, I could only log on to my desktop account, the three other accounts I share with my family just go black and do nothing. Then, the Security Center thing said that Windows Defender is off and I have no virus protector program. I have AVG on this computer and whenever I try to turn Windows Defender back on, it says Security Center is updating definitions, and then it says there was none and leaves it off. After that, mp3 files and programs that use mp3 as sound did not work. I tried with Movie Maker, Itunes, and Media Player, and when I pressed the play button, nothing really happens. The little ticker doesn't move, you cannot skip or go back to another song, nothing. And when I tried to get help online and messed around with it, I now cannot play any sound! It says the sound input on Management is working fine, and I don't know how to fix it. Any answers to these problems would help out a lot!

Do you have any idea how I can make a link on a powerpoint, so when a box or word is clicked it advances to another slide.

Basically like a link to another slide.

My computer was running fast before i installed Norton 2004. I think that is the reason its getting slow. But what should i do? Right when i got Norton, it stopped me from having a Trojan virus automatically and that was the first time i actually had to defend against a virus.

What should i do? should i delete Norton and download some other anti-virus(if so, give suggestions and info), or do i have to live with the slow computer

I Have heard great things about Mac and who hasnt? They have no qualms about patting themselves on the back and take shots at windows every time they can. I fully expext there to be some very opinionated MAC responses on this question.(There Always Are) I dont want anyone to think that I dont take stock in their ideas and opinions, just try to share them without wasting my time slamming Windows. I am looking for informed responses that deal with the question at hand not the usual PC sux because it isnt a MAC reply which I know that someone will inevitably post as an answer because I have already stated that in this question ,,which goes to show that Mac guys dont want to be bothered reading instructions. Maybe someday you will meet a doctor just like you.
I have also heard great things about Vista. Which seems to not be the norm from what I hear from "IT" guys. So anyway which is it ?? Which would be easier to learn and why?

AM2 64 X2 6000+ (AMD)
I've heard AMD doesnt perform very well as intel. But AMD is a good budget item. But please please tell me which will be better for my needs

Ok I need some good feedback and some real reasons why one or the other. Not just I had one and it broke, happens to both, or a better reason than just telling me ONE SUX! I am a Graphics Technology first year student and the school says MACS are in but I have PC I built myself and it out performs the new MACS at school. So lets hear it.
