You can download and scan your computer for free.

After into safe mode, run an anti-spyware to remove the spyware and adware on you computer.

Make sure you have 1 or 2 antispyware on your computer and 1 antivirus and also 1 firewall.

NetWorm-i-virus@FP virus is NOT a real virus. That warning is fake. It is a scam to attempt to get you to purchase a rogue malware removal product. Any balloon about "Your computer is infected" or "System Alert", is always false, phony and fradulant. The actual trojan that has caused your problem is no doubt one of the hundreds (now in the thousands)of varients of what is commonly called "Zlob".

However your computer is indeed infected. This infection is called Smitfraud and it is what is giving you the phony scam virus warnings( and often redirect you to a site selling a bogus anti virus product), trying to sell you junk such as Pest Capture, Pest Trap, Virus Burst, Spyware Quake,Virus Heal and other non working anti virus apps.

Information and procedure sand a free removal tool for the removal of Smitfraud are here:

http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix_En.php

Most "All-Purpose" malware apps such as AVG, Norton, Spybot etc unforturnatly can not remove this vile pest called Smitfraud.

Good luck

It is possible to remove it yourself but the information you provided is inadaquate for me to help you much. Need to know your operating system. But for now look this potential pest up on your internet. You will find it!! Gain all the information you can from it. In some cases depending on where you got your information they will advise on how to remove. If you are computer saavy enough you can edit it out from the registry yourself. I will also recommend solving the problem as high priority so to not to cause even more damage and make your system useless. There are free virus scanners available, but downloading anything free has some risks involved as well, use caution when downloading anything free!! good luck

Try this link: The AVG Free anti-virus is wonderful and it's updates also are free: http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=AVG&tag=srch

You might want to also try another free program that can root out spyware and keep them out ( I use this each time before I shut down the PC). Program's called Crap Cleaner...and here's THAT link:

http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=Crap%20Cleaner&tag=srch

And finally, Spybot Search N' Destroy:

http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=Spybot%20Search&tag=srch

You'll find these programs quite easy to use. You will have to manually update Crap Cleaner (which reminds you) and Spybot Search N' Destroy (which doesn't remind you).

And if you still have any other lingering questions on fixing your PC....contact for FREE the folks at www.suggestafix.com

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to ya!!

You had a ton of great resources given to you in your last post. They are all free. You just have to use them. If that's an issue, or your not sure then you are gonna have to take it somewhere to get fixed. & most likely the same tools recommended to you are gonna be used except this time it's gonna cost $$.

I gave you a great link which I put below again. It's super simple & easy to understand. + it has free reputable tools.

Good luck!

PCTools products do get good reviews. The good thing is they have free versions of their products. They work great. Spyware Doctor from the Google pack is a must. I highly recommend it. I bought Webroots Spysweeper and spyware doctor finds stuff spysweeper does not. Having both is a perfect combo and I recommend running two anti-spyware products.

Its good to run two anti-spywares even if some extra resources are taken.

SuperAntiSpyware does an excellent job. AVG's full version gets great reviews.

Anti-Spyware for a cost.
Personally I bought Webroot's Spysweeper, their product is great and well worth the money. Watch Best Buy ads because sometimes it goes on sale for $10 to $15.

There are free anti-virus scanners availble. They work well. I like AVG and PCTools anti-viruses the best of the free anti-virus programs.
If you are not willing to spend money it is good to have some kind of anti-virus software
