I Have heard great things about Mac and who hasnt? They have no qualms about patting themselves on the back and take shots at windows every time they can. I fully expext there to be some very opinionated MAC responses on this question.(There Always Are) I dont want anyone to think that I dont take stock in their ideas and opinions, just try to share them without wasting my time slamming Windows. I am looking for informed responses that deal with the question at hand not the usual PC sux because it isnt a MAC reply which I know that someone will inevitably post as an answer because I have already stated that in this question ,,which goes to show that Mac guys dont want to be bothered reading instructions. Maybe someday you will meet a doctor just like you.
I have also heard great things about Vista. Which seems to not be the norm from what I hear from "IT" guys. So anyway which is it ?? Which would be easier to learn and why?

I'd say go with Vista, especially if you're getting a new computer. I installed Vista when it was initially released and have no major complaints. There have been several patches which have addressed early problems, and it does fine on modern hardware. The interface is different from XP, but not radically so. I believe it's an improvement in many ways and like many of the changes. Many people complain about the UAC, but there are similar security features on Mac and Linux. The UAC also recently saved me from an infected web site, which is helpful. Plus, a lot of software (not all, I admit) that runs on XP will also run on Vista. I'm using VLC, Open Office, Gimp, iTunes, Firefox and plenty of the same software I used to run. Finally, buying a Mac will be more expensive, and there are limitations to getting it worked on. Of course, you can always get a Mac and use Boot Camp to dual boot Mac OS and Vista, which is the biggest argument in favor of the Mac.

PS - I'm in IT. So is my husband, and he's switched to Vista at home and at work and is pretty happy with it.

Macs are greater high priced by way of fact they are plenty greater technologically stepped forward, have greater beneficial photos, and are merely before residing house windows by potential of a techniques. I also have a MacBook acceptable now (the recent one) and that i like it! I even have by no potential had any subject concerns with it, that is particularly quickly, and definately easy-weight. The battery existence is likewise very long and it by no potential gets any viruses, no ought to purchase a plague secure practices. in case you have a versatile funds, i might get a Macbook professional by way of fact in spite of the reality that they are larger in length, they are fantastic computers from what I even have heard approximately them, yet you need to no longer want each and all of the advantageous factors it has on there , so do somewhat study earlier determining to purchase or make a journey to the Apple keep and that they could be happy to respond to your questions. additionally I heard Vista sucks while in comparison with XP, so in case you pick to get a pc, get an XP. i might say carry on with Sony and HP, as they are the authentic competetors with Macs. in spite of the reality that they are thoroughly different from pc's, you will get used to this transition and could be happy interior the tip along with your Mac. yet merely beware which you will could spend greater on determining to purchase classes for the Mac which contain Microsoft place of work in case you need to. desire this helped and good success :)!
