I downloaded some nice presentations backrounds from MS.com, but when I open it, I can't use another backround on another slide in the same presentation. How do I get it to let me use different backrounds for different slides in the same presentation?

whenever i turn it off, it turns off alright, but then the screen turns white and the red words BURN IN appear and start blinking. ive tried restarting but it keeps happening. also, whenever i turn on my computer, the colors look distorted, even on the internet.how do i fix this problem??

okay, so like 3 days ago my friend and i were having a sleepover. we were being stupid nd just fell asleep on the computer. the next morning, MY DESKTOP BACKROUND had been changed to a freaky RED ONE with a WEIRD DESIGN on it saying weird stuff. i try to get rid of it by hovering over the left side of the screen and pulling the picture away. then i figured out by going to the PROPERTIES on ur desktop, going to CUSTOMIZE DESKTOP.. you can hit WEB and click nd delete it.
BUT IT KEEPS COMING BACK.
now, I HAVE POPUPS EVERY 2 MINUTES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE HELP ME!
i dont even press OK when they come up! i click the x or no,
BUT IT STILL OPENS UP A WEBPAGE !
it also changes my homepage to UltimateCleaner 2007.
omg, i have no clue what to do!!!!!!1

in my computer i had a compaq lan card few days before i put out from the mother board slot & uninstall it & placed a new lan card(D-link),my question is in my network place is showing both two lan card present. in every time i need to uninstall compaq lan driver, after restart computer it comes back.
can anyone solve my problem??

I was reading a comment today about Registry Patrol, I know you pay your money and you takes your chance, but the site looked bona fide and professional, done the down load, they advertise 12-24 hours to get your unlock code, 3 days and 3 emails to receive later I inputed the code, got an error code 339, pc would not load, error code again, stating insuffient files, emailed PAUL TREMBLAY support manager 3 times, no response to my problem, had to uninstall programme, finally received an email, guess what? unlock code sent again, tried again, still got error code emailed again asking for a refund....some hope i bet. still lesson learned, like the last guy who got caught it gets a bad name for internet purchasing, i for one will not purhcase unless i know the company. It pi**es me off, all those 29.95$ add up.

I recently signed up to Verizon DSL. How do I get my emails using Outlook Express. I am also on Cox cable which I receive my Cox emails using Outlook Express but I might cancel Cox later. I'm able to read/send emails on the Verizon email website but I like the way Outlook Express is set up better. I don't know what my pop server is or how to find it. I rather do this on my own instead of calling a Verizon tech. Any help is appreciated!

My laptop is lifeless, no lights, nothing and will not turn on. The power supply is working as is the outlet it is plugged into. I have not dropped or spilled anything on it. There may have been a power surge even though it was plugged into a surge protector (no the company who makes the protector does not offer insurance). I have tried all of the taking out the battery and letting the computer sit for a while and trying just with the power supply, no luck.

Is there anything else I could try? If it is the motherboard does anyone repair motherboards or do they always need to be replaced. Thanks.

Hey all - I updated a Dell 4600 from 256 megs to 1 gig via 2 512mb DRAM - specifically KByte 512MB PC3200 DDR DT (3200/2700 PC400/333) 184 PIN DIMM - and I'm getting thermal shutdowns after doing the upgrade.

So, did I:

1. Choose the wrong memory chips?
2. Screw up when I put the chips in?
3. Unrelated/other?

when i turn my computer on it says 'your system has recovered from a serious error' <- something along those lines. and when i try and sign into windows msger plus i get a blue screen with lots of writing which doesnt even stay up long enough to read the 1st few words and then my computer restarts. ive uninstalled and installed windows live and it hasnt helped anybody else had/have this problem?
