My laptop is lifeless, no lights, nothing and will not turn on. The power supply is working as is the outlet it is plugged into. I have not dropped or spilled anything on it. There may have been a power surge even though it was plugged into a surge protector (no the company who makes the protector does not offer insurance). I have tried all of the taking out the battery and letting the computer sit for a while and trying just with the power supply, no luck.

Is there anything else I could try? If it is the motherboard does anyone repair motherboards or do they always need to be replaced. Thanks.

I cannot turn it on, I thought this was clear but I guess "fiezoe z" does not understand what this means.

You might leave it plugged in for a bit, if the battery is totally dead it might need to charge for a few minutes before it will let you turn it on.

Otherwise, you might need to take it to a tech.

check to see if the power socket does work, because some of them don't. so maybe that's why the batter can't get charged up.
