I cant type or make a new document on Microsoft Word it says document is locked for editing, i typed in the help box but no solution... help?

I just got a new MacBook and I decided to try out Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. It then told me I only have 30 days to use it for free. I thought it came with the programs! I need these programs for school! Will I really have to pay hundreds of dollars to use them?

I want to share 2 folders and i have 3 computers so 1st pc is the one I will be shereing the folders in, what i want to do is make 2 folders 1 folder for one pc and 1 folder for anothere pc but i want 1 folders only acceseble by one pc and othere folder only accaseble by the othere pc. I am looking to buy a laptop for the beginning of 9th grade and was wondering should i go with a mac or a pc. The computer that i would be getting would be around the same price so that isnt an issue. I have comcast internet on my desktop. I already have a laptop that is wireless, and I have a netgear router. After 3 hours I finally got it to work with my pc and cable modem. I cannot get it to work with my laptop. I tried using the installation cd and it still wont work because it is asking me to do it the same way i did with my pc but my laptop doesn't have comcast on it, only my pc does. Can somebody PLEASE tell me in detail how to get my wireless router to work with my laptop?? My router is netgear, my laptop is compaq, and my modem is comcast. Thanks.

i have an hp dv6000 laptop with vista premium and for some reason after the welcome screen i get this black screen with my arrow there. it lasts for about 10 15 sec and then my desktop loads and comp is fine. but it didnt do that a couple times and it is now a lot. i dont have any start up programs on either. and this was after i restored my pc i took off start ups.

im thinking best buy might handle it. thanks

Whenever I go to a webpage, even when checking my email, if there is an advertisement to be loaded it will say, "Waiting for ad.doubleclick.net" at the bottom until the entire page is loaded at which point it will say, "Done." What is this? Is it a website where companies post advertisement to loaded onto a webpage by engineers? Does it have viruses? Any information would be helpful.

at the top where you type in the URL well mine doesnt have that and it used to but now it doesnt.... whenveer i type in a URL like yahoo search or google comes up with the url i typed in....i dont like that and how can i have more than one tab without yahoo? my laptop is a IBM thinkpad if you needed to know

I wanna hook my pc to my tv but on my Nvidia Geforce fx 5900 graphics card it has a weird s-video jack on it (at least i think its s-video) and i cant seem to fit my s-video cable in there. heres a picture of what the jack looks like,

can anyone tell me what kind of cable i need to fit in this so i can hook it to my tv? i really cannot fit an s-video cable in there no matter what way i put it in it just wont go in. I checked with the nvidia website, and i cant find anything about. i really would just like some 1 to tell me what kinda of cable i need so i can hook this to a tv. and if its not for a tv can some 1 please tell me what it is for?

! really want to buy and Apple iBook because they're cheaper then Dell laptops, because my dad only uses dell and he said ! can't get an Apple because we use Dell.
But can I run windows on an Apple computer??
Please help me because iBooks are soo cheap and the cheapest Dell laptop I've found on Ebay is $300 and they have iBooks for like $120 and I can actually afford that.......
So can I run windows on and Apple iBook??
