I wanna hook my pc to my tv but on my Nvidia Geforce fx 5900 graphics card it has a weird s-video jack on it (at least i think its s-video) and i cant seem to fit my s-video cable in there. heres a picture of what the jack looks like,

can anyone tell me what kind of cable i need to fit in this so i can hook it to my tv? i really cannot fit an s-video cable in there no matter what way i put it in it just wont go in. I checked with the nvidia website, and i cant find anything about. i really would just like some 1 to tell me what kinda of cable i need so i can hook this to a tv. and if its not for a tv can some 1 please tell me what it is for?

well heres the story, i bought it the pc off ebay. and i used to have an ati graphics card in it with svideo, but we sent it back to the seller because it wasnt working n e more so he put the geforce in for us but didnt give us any cables with it.

thank u guys so much for your answers. i have found what type of wire i need, its called a 9 pin svideo tv to rca cable.

its no an s-video jack. it is an output jack for audio and video. s/dpif or something like that. here is a link to the page i hope u find this helpful.

it's not an s-video slot. It's really designed for stereo 3rd stuff. You can hook up 3d glasses, or other devices designed for the slot.
do a google search if you want to see the kinds of glasses out there.

Your graphics card should have come with an HDTV adapter that plugs into that port. You can then plug a normal s-video cable into the adapter.

It looks like a DVI (digital video) plug. DVI cables are available where ever you find HDTV and DTV...Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc.

no thats a regualr svideo port. and svideo cable should work with it.
