You need to get what is referred to as a A/B switch.
It will have 3 VGA (monitor) adaptors on the back of it.
You plug each computer into it, and plug the monitor into it.
When you want to use one computer, you flip the switch, or back for the other.
There are also more complicated ones, called KVM switches, so you can share the Keyboard, Video (monitor), and Mouse.

Yes. The monitor in front of me is connected through a switch so I can look at the display on my wife's computer. She uses hers in talking or Braille mode and does not need a screen. The switch actually has a keyboard and a display switch and is intended for one person using two computers.

You need what is called a KVM switch or a switch box. A KVM switch will allow you to use the same keyboard, mouse, and monitor and easily switch between the two computers. Bestbuy and most computer places will sell a KVM switch.

Yes, you just need a KVM switch. It allows you to manage 2 (or more) PCs with 1 keyboard, 1 mouse, and 1 monitor.

From pcworld.com:
"A KVM switch lets you run a second PC from your primary PC's keyboard, monitor, and mouse. A hardware switch and cables--which tether yours second PC to your desk--cost about $50. Kavoom's $30 KVM program (free trial) is a software alternative that lets you remotely control a second PC located anywhere on your network."
And here's the link for that free trial:

Look in to buying a KVM switch. This allows you to connect multiple computers to one keyboard, mouse and monitor.
