I bought laptop Toshiba Satellite A105-S4547 with pre-installed Windows Vista and just can't work with some AVS DVD software pieces to edit converted video files (from VOB to mpeg2)
and then create a new DVD.

When I try to work with AVS, Windows Vista throws message like: oreans.sys driver has to be updated.

What free download sites are safe in terms of virus stuff to download oreans.sys update for Vista?

My CPU fan was loose, so i opened the box up and and placed the CPU heat/fan on properly. i Closed it up, went into Bios and Noticed a very high system Temp of 60 C. the Fans are all working. I use to get a system temp of some 32-40 C, what migth have went wrong? (CPU Running at 35-40C)(SYSTEM runs all the way up to 60C)

Aparantly yahoo mail can't handle the full version with many photos and music. Is there a way to compress the file (like thumbnailing a picture) to send a large power point file to an Email address?

Somehow Corel Photo Paint is no longer the default image editor when I right click on an image in Corel Draw and click on "edit bitmap". Now when I click on "edit bitmap" inside Corel Draw it opens the graphic in Microsoft Windows Paint! How can I change it back to Corel Photo Paint?

Over the past few years I have taken lots of pictures using slide film........ obviously now everyone has moved to digital images.
How can I transfer my slide images to digital images? Is there are machine that I could buy that would read my slides and turn them into digital prints? Thanks for any help received.

I programed it, and double checked it, but the timer doesnt work! the clock works on it just fine and I can override it to turn on, but otherwise I just cant get it to work! I think I already threw away the box so I cant take it back. anyone know how to make it work?

So what's the difference between these two computers?

I want to buy a desktop PC for daily use (word-processing, multimedia, and mainstream gaming, etc). I heard that Core 2 Duo is better than Athlon X2, but not sure why.

More specifically, I am trying to differentiate the Intel C2D E4300 and the AMD Athlon X2 4200+.

At my local computer store, the C2D E4300 is actually cheaper than the 4200+ by a difference of $150 CDN, but the latter comes with ATI X1650 gfx card, while the former is equipped only with an onboard chipset (GMA 3000). Memory is same: 2Gig DDR2.
