When I see a page that is described as something, such as real estate, and it looks legit, I click on it and it's really a porn site?

You just might have some spyware on your computer. Do you have any anti-spyware protection? If you do and you have run a scan and it still persists then your spyware software may not be good enough.
If I were you, I would avail myself of the free trials of some good anti-spyware programs such as CounterSpy.
Try their free 15 day trial of the full system and see what it picks up.
It cannot hurt to try and unlike anti-virus programs, you can run more than one anti-spyware program on your computer.

The outcomes you experience have nothing to do with the Google search engine. Google does only what it is programmed to do, which is to search out web sites that match up with key words that you type in. In other words, Google has no control over what happens when you click on a particular link. The owner of the web site controls the content of that site.

You have MALWARE on your PC. It's like a virus. It hi-jacks your browser and sends you to porn sites, or any other website to SELL YOU SOMETHING. I suggest you download this program. I had the SAME problem and this program eliminated the malware/virus immediately.

SpyBot Search and Destroy
