ok since i my webpages dont display right like some of the stuff dosent load and is missing on the page and the background is always white! its so annoyin so i have a intel(r) 82810E graphics controller..or do i have to buy a new graphics card?

I have no money to get a new one so I was wondering is there any way to get a free old computer like a Pentium 3?
Many people buy new computer and don't use or even throw away their old one.

Hi all

Can any one advice me which prgramming lingo to pick up?

I work in a school wtih abt 1000 students and my head wants me to pick up some programming skills which would help create some interface like.....

students input their Id number and get a password which is auto generated by the application or some students get signed up to a elective lesson but the list auto stops accepting when the class is full.

most of our applications are going to work from the school website and use the students database

i would value yr suggestion, i have no programming exp only basic html.

We had a storm lastnight. My mom calls and said her computer wont work. I stopped up and it has the screen up that says your compter had shut down do to a power outage blah blah blah (you know) then it gave you the choices of start in safe mode, start at last good configuration, or start normally and then it has a timer and said windows will start in ** seconds. Well if would hit enter or let the time run down and it would go as if it was going to start and just went back to that screen. So I took the tower and brought it home. The tower will power up but the monitor will not turn on and the lights on the keboard only flash once. So this am I went and got her monitor, mouse and keyboard and same thing. Does anyone know whats up with this?

i just reformated my computer and i plugged in my speakers and when i try to listen to some music or watch a movie a message comes up and says (unable to play back audio.no sound device detected on your system the movie will play but you will not hear any sound

I have a mac computer and when I plug my mp3 player into it , it lets me put songs in the folder but they don't show when I turn it on. I have just found out that the need to be a quicktime file and I have quicktime on my computer but I don't know how to make the songs open with that file. HELP ME PLEASE

Hi, my female single for 22 years way of fixing things is smack it a couple of times, then smack it again and if it doesn't work, but a new one. :) My puter mouse got smacked a few times yesterday,bad mouse, and I tried all the settings first but it still has trouble getting the cursor to go smoothly to where I want it and seeing as you can tell how impatient I am, would it be best to just buy a new mouse ? I tried resetting the double click and all that, still isn't working ,please help this 56 year old dinosaur when it comes to puters :)
